Pål Jørgen Schrøder (44) took up his new position as Operations Manager at Glacio Rakkestad in April. Pål will assist Managing Director Christian Solberg in managing the operation in Rakkestad. He will be responsible for goods dispatch and provide support in the planning and organisation of the work within Glacio Rakkestad. Pål will also own the quality system within food safety, HSE and internal control for the whole Glacio Group. Pål joins the company from his previous position of sales manager at Nortura, but he also worked within internal audit, dispatch and warehouse at the same company.
"I am very pleased and proud to have appointed Pål," says Managing Director Christian Solberg. "Pål will be a vital piece in the jigsaw to further develop operations here in Rakkestad, and I am sure he will be a sound addition for us. I have known Pål for a long time since we were colleagues at Nortura many years ago and I’m looking forward to having Pål on the team," says Solberg, adding that Pål's knowledge of the food industry and his solid background within food safety in particular will be valuable.
“I've been at Glacio for a month now and so far it's been really enjoyable. I’m also taking over ownership of Glacio's quality system, so it will be exciting to get to know the business in that way," says Pål jørgen Schrøder, who adds: “Glacio has done a really good job within quality management over the years, but we’re now set to step up our efforts further surrounding procedures and food safety going forward.
